Introduction to S-MM2H.

Sarawak-Malaysia My Second Home (S-MM2H) is a programme that allow foreigners who fulfill certain criteria to stay in Sarawak with a multiple-entry social visit pass.


Sarawak. The biggest state in Malaysia, situated on the Island of Borneo. Boasting a total land area of 124,449.5 km2 and a population of 2.74 million.


Sarawak has 12 divisions and Kuching is the capital city of Sarawak.

30 - 39 year olds may apply if: They have children (below 18 years old) who are pursuing further education in Sarawak

OR


Undergoing long term medical treatment in Sarawak with his/her condition verified by Private/ Government Physicians who are registered with Malaysian Medical Council

Applicant of 50 years old

and above while spouse (if any) has no age limit

40 - 49 year old applicants with investment in real estate

in Sarawak specifically for residential purpose

with total amount of at least RM600,000.00

Terms & Conditions.

  • All applicants must submit the required documents to the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak
  • All applicants are expected to be financially capable of supporting themselves during the participation of this programme

All applicants are required to show proof of financial capability through:

  1. Pension / Employment income

  • All applicants must be bonded by a Sponsor who originated from and currently staying in Sarawak OR by an S-MM2H Licensed Agent that is registered in Sarawak (i.e ArunAmi MM2H)

  • Resume/Curriculum Vitae
  • Eight (8) coloured passport size photographs (blue background)
  • Copy of Passport (all pages)
  • Police Clearance Certificate or Letter of Good Conduct from relevant authority
  • Certified copy of Marriage Certificate (if accompanied by spouse)
  • Certified copy of Birth Certificate (if accompanied by children)
  • Original copy of latest 6-month bank statements
  • Original copy of latest 6-month salary or pension statements



Additional Documents for 40 – 49 Years Old Category:

  • Sales and Purchase Agreement of the residential property purchased
  • Official payment receipt of the property purchased

Additional Documents for 30 – 49 Years Old Category:

  • Certified copy of children’s student pass
  • Letter of Acceptance from education institution
  • Letter from Ministry of Education (except for international schools)

FAQ.

What is the difference between Sarawak MM2H and Peninsular MM2H?

The difference is Sarawak MM2H visa holders are allowed to stay throughout Sarawak, Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia. Whereas Peninsular MM2H visa holders are allowed to stay in Peninsular Malaysia only

Is there a minimum stay requirement?

Yes. All participants are required to comply with a minimum stay at least 30 days per year in Sarawak.

Can I open fixed deposit account in a bank located in other parts of Malaysia other than Sarawak?

Fixed deposits are to be placed in a bank located in SARAWAK only

Can I withdraw my fixed deposit?

Participants can make partial withdrawal of their Fixed Deposit (up to 40% of the Fixed Deposit amount) for Purchase of a House in Sarawak, Purchase of a car in Sarawak, Medical Expenses in Sarawak and Children's Education in Sarawak with written permission from Ministry of Tourism Creative Industry and Performing Arts from the second year onwards
